Recycling post-consumer plastics like PE film, PP woven bags, and agricultural films can be a challenge due to high moisture content. Washed films typically contain up to 40% moisture, which is problematic for recyclers, leading to issues like inconsistent feeding and reduced output in recycling extruders. Traditional drying methods often fail to effectively remove this moisture, leaving up to 30% water content in the materials.

Our screw press dewatering system, engineered specifically for our PE film washing line, is a highly effective method for extracting moisture from a material stream. In fact, our screw presses are frequently utilized in food processing, paper & pulp industries, sewage treatment, and more. This durable piece of machinery provides outstanding moisture reduction without the substantial cost (electricity expense) of operating thermal heaters.

A highly effective, yet low-energy consuming piece of drying equipment, the dewatering machine utilizes centrifugal force to partially remove water from a flowing stream of plastic material. It has the distinct ability to take in material with elevated water content and reduce it to minimal levels. When integrated into our PE film washing line or PET bottle washing line, the dewatering machine is the initial unit in a series of machines.

Our thermal dryer is an outstanding method for extracting moisture through dehydration. Specifically engineered for our plastic film and PET washing lines, this continuous drying apparatus is strategically positioned after the dewatering machine. The thermal dryer, equipped with a cyclone separator, serves as a crucial final step in reducing moisture levels to below 3%.
